The Black Satellites, Ghana’s U-20 national team, resumed camping in Accra on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, as they continue their preparations for the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The team had been on a week-long break following their return from Morocco, where they participated in a 3-nation tournament in Rabat. Under the guidance of Coach Desmond Ofei, the team will train in Accra and engage in a series of friendlies before departing for Egypt for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which takes place from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
Ghana has been paired in Group A alongside Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and a team from the Central African Football Federations Union (UNIFFAC) for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The Black Satellites are aiming to claim their fifth continental youth title, having previously lifted the trophy in 1993, 1999, 2009, and 2021. They also won the FIFA U-20 World Cup once in Egypt in 2009. With a rich history of success in youth football, the team is determined to make a strong impression in the upcoming tournament.
