The Ghana Premier League is set to resume with a flurry of activity as Matchday 21 fixtures take center stage across eight venues on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

After a brief hiatus, the league returns with a packed midweek schedule featuring regional derbies, title-chasing encounters, and relegation battles. Fans are in for a treat as some of the most anticipated matchups of the season unfold, with key teams vying for crucial points in their respective quests.

One of the highlight fixtures of the midweek action is the Western derby pits Medeama against Basake Holy Stars, with both teams eyeing a strong push in the title race.  Medeama, currently in contention for the top spot, will host their neighbors at the T&A Stadium in Tarkwa, aiming to secure a vital three points to keep their title hopes alive.

Tuesday’s action also sees second-placed Gold Stars FC hosting Heart of Lions at the Duns Park in Bibiani. With league leaders Asante Kotoko firmly in their sights, Gold Stars will look to maintain their momentum and keep the pressure on the reigning leaders Asante Kotoko.

Kotoko meanwhile, will be in action on Wednesday when they welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. This high-stakes encounter could prove pivotal in the title race, as Kotoko aim to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Wednesday’s schedule is equally packed, with six fixtures taking place across the country. Hearts of Oak, one of Ghana’s most storied clubs, will make a long-awaited return to the Accra Sports Stadium, where they face Nations FC.

This match promises to be a spectacle, with Hearts of Oak looking to bounce back from recent setbacks. Elsewhere, Karela United, battling to avoid relegation, will host struggling Legon Cities at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in a match that could have significant implications for both teams’ survival hopes.

The midweek fixtures also feature a mix of teams looking to rebound from recent struggles and others riding high on confidence. Vision FC, for instance, will take on defending champions FC Samartex 1996 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema, aiming to overturn their recent poor form.

Meanwhile, rejuvenated Dreams FC, fresh from a series of impressive performances, face a tough test against Bechem United at the Tuba AstroTurf. With the title race heating up and the relegation battle intensifying, Matchday 21 promises to deliver thrilling encounters and critical points that could shape the trajectory of the season.
