Hearts of Oak returned to the Accra Sports Stadium with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Medeama SC, courtesy of a first-half strike from midfielder Raphael Amponsah. The Phobians’ win marked their first match at the venue since September 2024 and a welcome return to winning ways.
In other matches, Asante Kotoko extended their unbeaten run to eight games and maintained their lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League after a 1-1 draw with Heart of Lions. Justice Blay opened the scoring for Kotoko with a sublime finish in added time of the first half, but Heart of Lions responded just two minutes after the restart through Fawzi Ali’s equaliser.
Dreams FC continued their fine form with a 2-0 victory over visiting Bibiani Gold Stars, making it five wins on the spin. The win over the Miners was also their third consecutive Premier League triumph at the Tuba Astro Turf. The “Still Believe” Boys scored twice in a hard-fought first half, with Razak Salifu breaking the deadlock on 35 minutes and Izdeen Mohammed netting the second in the dying embers of the half.
Aduana FC secured a narrow 1-0 win over Vision FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Stadium, thanks to a 10th-minute strike from Rich Sackey. The result was significant for the home side, who will be looking to build on the momentum in upcoming fixtures.
FC Samartex also returned to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph over Accra Lions, courtesy of first-half goals from Emmanuel Mamah and Akwesi Sarpong. Elsewhere, Young Apostles FC and Legon Cities played out a goalless draw, while Holy Stars secured a 2-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea.
The results from Match-day 26 have shaken up the Ghana Premier League standings, with clubs jostling for crucial points in the heated title race.
