Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has stated that his team is preparing for a tough encounter against Chad on Friday, March 21, 2025 in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Although acknowledging that Chad are not among the strongest teams in Group I, Addo stressed the need for focus and determination to achieve a better result.

Otto Addo in a pre-match press conference on Thursday, March 21, 2025, outlined the importance of staying vigilant on matchday and urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team. “I know Chad is not a top team but believe me it’s not going to be easy. We need all the support we can get,” coach Otto Addo said. The team’s preparations have been intense, with a high-energy third-day training session in Accra earlier this week.

A victory against Chad could move Ghana from third to first place in the Group I standings, boosting their chances of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Black Stars after facing Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium will travel to Morocco for match day six against Madagascar on Monday, March 24. These upcoming fixtures are crucial for Ghana’s World Cup qualification hopes, with the team currently sitting third in the group.

The Black Stars have been gearing up for these vital matches, and coach Addo is aware of the importance of securing positive results. With the support of the Ghanaian fans, the team will be looking to stay focused and determined to achieve their goal of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
