Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini has expressed a keen interest in including Mfantsipim’s Joseph Kwoffie Andoh in the national team for the upcoming African Championships, demonstrating the young athlete’s impressive capabilities and potential for future success on the continental stage.
“We want to have Mfantsipim’s Joseph K. Andoh for African Championship next year, he is picking up just like Benjamin Azamati,” Bawa Fuseini, Ghana Athletics President remarked in an interview with Channel One TV.

Andoh’s remarkable performances during the 2025 Inter-Schools, Colleges, and Athletics Competition, held in Cape Coast, have solidified his status as one of the most exciting talents in Ghanaian athletics. He showcased his speed and versatility by excelling in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and 4x200m events, thrilling spectators with his dynamic racing style and competitive spirit.
The young sprinter’s celebrations added to the excitement, as he capped his victories with Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic “suui” celebration, which resonated with fans and created a lively atmosphere at the venues. His ability to engage the crowd while delivering top performances has made him a favorite among supporters and peers.

On February 28, Joseph Andoh solidified his reputation as the fastest sprinter in the Central Region with a commanding win in the 100m final at Cape Coast Stadium. His performance was a culmination of hard work and determination, and it followed an impressive Day One at the 2025 Central Region Schools & Colleges Sports Association Super-Zonal Championships, where he secured gold in the 200m and played a crucial role in his team’s victory in the 4x200m relay.
The young athlete’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, as national sprinter and gold medalist Joseph Paul Amoah expressed admiration for Andoh’s talent.
