The 33rd Central Region Schools & Colleges Sports Association Athletics Super-Zonal event concluded with a thrilling victory for Mfantsipim School, who claimed the boys’ championship title for the fourth consecutive year with an impressive score of 116 points. This triumph not only cemented their status as dominate forces in the competition but also solidified their place in the history of the event.

Mfantsipim’s Jonathan Ofori Nkruamah was hailed as the Best Boys’ Athlete, thanks to his exceptional performances in the 400 meters, 110 meters hurdles (where he equaled the existing record), and a silver medal in the 200 meters. His contributions were instrumental in securing his school’s victory.

In the girls’ category, Efutu Senior High Technical School emerged as champions, showcasing their strength and skill across various events. Portia Nkrumah from Edinaman Senior High School was recognized as the Best Female Athlete, further highlighting the talent and competitive spirit displayed by the female participants.

The event demonstrated that Central Region schools continue to produce outstanding athletes, with both boys and girls competing at the highest level.

This year’s Super-Zonal competition marked a significant milestone for Mfantsipim School, as they tied with St Augustine’s School at 14 titles each, setting a new bar for excellence in the region.

The success of Mfantsipim School underscores their commitment to excellence and their ability to inspire future generations of athletes. With their impressive performance, Mfantsipim once again proved that they are a dominant force in Central Region athletics and their legacy continues to grow.
