Novak Djokovic was in top form on Friday, March 28, 2025, dispatching Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to reach his eighth Miami Open men’s singles final. The 24-time Grand Slam champion needed just 70 minutes to secure the 6-2, 6-3 victory at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Djokovic’s dominant performance was marked by his strong serve, which fired five aces and logged an impressive 87% first-serve percentage. He also converted 4 of 6 break-point opportunities, while Dimitrov managed to convert just 1 of 2. The Bulgarians’ 32 unforced errors ultimately proved costly, as Djokovic’s 10 winners and 5 unforced errors told the story of a one-sided contest.
“I managed to find good serves and held my nerves,” Djokovic said after the match. “It was not easy conditions, it was very windy today and very difficult to control the ball. The wind was changing all the time.” Despite the challenging conditions, Djokovic’s experience and skill shone through, as he outmaneuvered Dimitrov at every turn.
