Paul Pogba’s doping ban finally came to an end on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, paving the way for the French midfielder to resume his career.
The ban, which was initially imposed for four years, was later reduced to 18 months following an appeal.
Pogba, who has been absent from professional football since September 2023, is now eligible to join a new club and return to the pitch. However, his journey back to the game is not without its challenges, as he remains a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Juventus earlier this year.
Pogba, one of the most recognisable names in global football, has had a career marked by both brilliance and controversy. After rising to prominence with Juventus, he made a high-profile move to Manchester United before returning to Juventus in 2022.
His second stint with the Italian club was cut short when the doping ban halted his progress. Despite his talent, Pogba has often found himself in the headlines for reasons beyond his performances on the field, and this latest chapter in his career is no exception.
As Pogba prepares for his footballing comeback, speculations mount about his next destination. However, reports of interest from his former club, Manchester United, have been denied, leaving fans and pundits guessing about his future. Pogba’s representatives are understood to be exploring options carefully, with the player reportedly keen to join a club that aligns with his ambitions and provides a platform to reignite his career.
