Vinicius Junior, has reportedly rejected an offer coming in from Saudi Arabia. According to reports from Cadena SER, the Brazilian forward has rejected a lucrative €1billion offer from Saudi Arabia and commit to a new contract with Real Madrid. This news has sparked widespread interest, especially given his prominence on the global stage.
The discussions surrounding Vinicius’s contract began in September, with ongoing negotiations that have persisted through December and included a meeting in Prague in February. The ¥1 billion (€1 billion) offer from the Saudi Pro League was a tempting proposal, yet Vinicius has reportedly been hesitant about a long-term commitment in the Middle East, especially since the deal reportedly required him to stay for a couple of seasons. Despite the financial allure, his desire to be recognized at par with top-tier stars like Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham has played a pivotal role in his decision-making process.
Finishing second in the 2024 Ballon d’Or, Vinicius sees himself on equal path with Madrid’s leading stars and expects his new contract to reflect that.
