Over the weekend, scores of young people from the Northern Region benefited from a digital media influence bootcamp aimed at empowering them to navigate the digital world effectively.

The “Let’s Go North” bootcamp, organized by award-winning TV personality Maltiti Sayida Sadick, took place at the Dr. Andani Andan Academic Board Chamber at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale.

Renowned media personalities, including Kafui Dey, an award-winning seasoned broadcaster; SDK Dele, a famous content creator and influencer; Khadijah Abdul Samed, a former Dean of Students at IBM&J Tamale; Dunstan Guba, a certified ethical hacker; and Dr. Arnold Mashoud, a lecturer and CEO of AfriTech Hub, led interactive sessions on personal branding, influencer marketing, digital responsibility, content creation, and social media marketing.

The event, sponsored by the National Youth Authority, Passion Air, Twellium Industrial Company, and others, provided participants with valuable insights and connections to help them build their brands in the digital world.

Speaking on the theme, “Building Brands in a Digital World,” SDK Dele emphasized the importance of identifying the right niche and collaborating with multiple brands to boost visibility and credibility.

Participants received copies of Kafui Dey’s book, “How to Turn Your Talent into Your Career,” inspiring them to pursue their passions in the media space.

The event was supported by GBC Radio Savannah, Radio Justice, and EIB Network.

The “Let’s Go North” bootcamp is part of ongoing efforts to equip young people in the Northern Region with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in using social media to promote their local brands while monetizing their content in today’s digital age.
