Gov’t to create a one-stop shop portal for all its institutions

A new portal is in the offing to create a one-stop shop for all government institutions and services to interact effectively with the public.

The portal which is expected to be completed by June 2020, will compliment the ongoing integrated electronic payment system to eliminate wastage in the system while increasing revenue for development.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia who announced this said government is exploring all avenue to ease the cost of doing business in Ghana.

He was speaking at the opening of the 4th Edition of the Ghana CEO Summit in Accra.

This years summit created the platform form for stakeholders to explore the capacity of an ongoing technological revolution to transform the Ghana’s economy hence the theme, The Futuristic Economy: Technology-Driven Future of Business & Governance for Economic Transformation.

The CEO and Founder of the Ghana CEO Summit Ernest De-Graft Egyir said the topic has become necessary as the World is now been driven by ICT.

He said although Ghana has made some gains over the years, more needs to be done to derive the full benefits of emerging technologies.

Vice President said Ghana does not have much of a choice but follow trends in the global front.

He said said the use of technology has the potential to totally transform Ghana’s economy.

Vice President Bawumia also announced the creation of a portal for all government agencies.

He said this will be completed by June 2020 to ensure that the public get access to information without stress.

About 400 CEOs from across the African continent are participating in the 4th Edition of the Ghana CEO Summit which is focused on the theme the Futuristic Economy: Technology – driven Future of Business and Governance for Economic Transformation.

Some CEOs who have excelled in their various fields were honored.
