Founder of DK Cyber Zone and a Tech Expert, David Gyedu has stated that the advent of technology has made farming and agriculture very easy.
Ghana observed the 38th Farmers Day on December 2, 2022. On the GTV Breakfast Show, Mr. Gyedu said agriculture has become the backbone of every economy and the youth need to get themselves involved to reduce the level of unemployment in the country.
According to him, the youth should get more into farming because the advent of technology has made agriculture very easy.
He explained that agriculture has moved from the days of going back to the village to get a land and cutlass era to a more advanced and modernized system.
“People think agriculture is going back to your hometown and getting some land and taking your cutlass and going to farm. That is those days agriculture. But now, because of technology, agriculture has become very easy,” he said.
He further added that the internet has lots of opportunities for people to start farming or venture into agriculture without physically owning a land.
He named a number of online platforms owned by Ghanaians which allows one to invest into agriculture, and said the opportunities abound.
