To bridge the ever-increasing digital divide, Dansyn Innovation Social Organization, a non-profit organization has been supporting youth entrepreneurship with training and skill development in Information Technology to make an impact in the community by enhancing the economic and Social Status of the People with special emphasis on women.
Following an entrepreneurial ecosystem mapping conducted by Dansyn Innovation Social Organization (an incubation hub in Bolgatanga) in collaboration with Ghana Tech Lab, and supported by MasterCard Foundation Young Africa Works, a stakeholder engagement to explore opportunities in Web development and its impact on job creation and entrepreneurship development was held in Bolgatanga on the theme: The role of Web Technology for Digital transformation of the local economy for job creation and economic development.
The Executive Director of Dansyn Innovation Social Organization, Daniel Yennube Nang explained that for businesses to gain traction in today’s digital environment, there is the need for online presence to create awareness and promote its activities to a larger audience.
While urging the youth to venture into web development as a source of employment, he encouraged entrepreneurs to develop websites which is a skill to give them employment as well as helping them to market their products and services to the outside world.
“Dansyn Innovation Social Organization (Dansyn ISO) is one of Dansyn’s line of businesses with the objective of providing business development support to the youth who want to grow their businesses but cannot procure professional services from profit-oriented organizations.
He stated that, Dansyn ISO as a non-profit making organization is aimed at providing growth support initiatives through training, business incubation and acceleration with focus on the youth and women start-ups and SMEs.
Mr. Nang maintained that the vision of the organization is to be the most preferred technology and innovation-based growth support organization providing top-notch solutions to startups and SMEs to impact the youth and the community where it operates.
He added that the mission of the organization is to provide professional training to start-ups and other businesses through skills development, capacity building, mentoring, coaching, and other growth support initiatives to make its clients’ experience a great zest for life.
