A tropical cyclone which is expected to hit Mozambique, could be the worst to hit the country in two decades.
Reports indicate that domestic flights to several destinations have been cancelled as a safety precaution.
Officials have warned people to stay inside and keep clear of electrical cables, household electrical goods and trees.
The storm is part of a weather cycle that has caused fatal floods in recent days, resulting in the deaths of more than 100 people in Mozambique and Malawi and the destruction of thousands of homes.
