Medeama SC continued their flawless start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a pivotal 1-0 victory over Legon Cities, courtesy of Kamaridini Mamudu’s decisive first-half strike at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. This win solidifies Medeama SC’s position at the top, showcasing their intent to dominate this season.

In contrast, Bechem United’s quest for their inaugural win persists as they settle for a second consecutive goalless draw, this time against Aduana Stars at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. The stalemate extends Bechem United’s winless streak, raising questions about their offensive strategies.

Heart of Lions delivered a significant blow to Hearts of Oak with a 2-0 victory, intensifying the pressure on Hearts’ coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who is increasingly in the hot seat with fans questioning his leadership.

Elsewhere, Young Apostles and Nations FC mirrored each other in a goalless draw at Nana Abrefa Nketiah VII Park, reflecting a cautious approach from both sides in their matchday 2 fixture. Similarly, Basake Holy Stars and Dreams FC played out another 0-0 draw at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium in Nzema Anyinase, pointing to a trend of early-season defensive solidity across the league.

Anticipation builds as Accra Lions prepare to face the newly promoted Vision FC on Monday, September 16, 2024, to conclude match week two. The excitement is also tempered by the postponement of FC Samartex vs. Bibiani Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko vs. Nsoatreman FC, with new dates pending due to FC Samartex and Nsoatreman’s commitments in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
