The Speaker of Parliament has directed that a 7-member Special Committee be constituted to investigate in the leaked audio recording involving a plot to remove Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Geroge Akuffo Dampare.
The Speaker tasked the Committee to look into the authenticity of the recording and probe the conspiracy to remove the current IGP, among other matters disclosed in the audio.
The leadership of the House has one week to submit the names of members they want to be part of the Committee.
