G4G Foundation donates to Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua

A non-governmental organization, Girls for Girls, G4G Foundation, which is into the provision of disposable and reusable sanitary pads and undergarments to young girls in rural and deprived areas has donated some surgical items to the Surgical Department of the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.

The items worth over thousands of dollars include wound dressing kits, prowess draining tubes, no-sting wipes skin barrier film, surgical dresses among others.

In an interview with GBC Sunrise FM in Koforidua, the founder for G4G Foundation who is a Ghanaian-born American Clinical Nurse Manager, Dina Ahenkan Amoo noted that with support from her friend who is a social worker in the United States of America, Sarah Walker-Berning, they decided to embark on the gesture to offer their little support to the Hospital.

She said as a health worker in the United States, she is aware of the challenges that the health facilities in Ghana encounter and their gesture is to help mitigate some of the challenges confronting the facility and to promote quality healthcare delivery in the region.

Mrs. Ahenkan Amoo added that G4G Foundation is to provide education and support to young girls in the rural and deprived areas in Ghana.

A surgeon from the Surgical Department at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Dr. Aja receiving the items noted that the donations has come in handy to support quality healthcare delivery.

She added that they will ensure that the items are used for their intended purposes and eulogized the activities of G4G foundation.
