A Journalist and Former Diplomat, Ambassador Kabral Blay Amihere has impressed on all to make an effort to catalogue happenings in their lives in order to preserve the culture, heritage and history of Ghana.
He bemoaned the fact that many stories of illustrious individuals are lost and untold because they failed to write their memoirs which would have enriched Ghana’s history.
Ambassador Amihere made these remarks when he launched a book, “Leading An Extraordinary Life: A Guide for Personal Transformation” authored by the Head of Corporate Affairs of GCB Bank, Kojo Kwarteng in Accra.
Ambassador Amihere lauded the author for taking the giant step to pen down his thoughts to guide others.
The 187-page book among others touched on life and spirituality, surviving in a work environment, staying employable in changing times, and making oneself marketable.
The book seeks to motivate people to take other innovative ways to make life easier and bring hope to the hopeless.
Ambassador Amihere said everyone has a story to tell irrespective of ones background.
He encouraged all to write.
Reviewing the book, a Playwright, Ebo Whyte, lauded the effort of the author, in sharing his experiences, which will be a useful key pointer for many, especially the youth.The Author of the book who is also the Head of Corporate Affairs at GCB Bank, Kojo Kwarteng said he was motivated by other authors and took the decision to also pen down his thoughts.
He was worried that a lot of people do not explore their God-given talent and skills, apart from their formal work, and was hopeful the book will serve as a tool for transforming lives.
Mr Kwarteng who had earlier authored a book dubbed ‘Oil Cocoa Mines’ bemoaned the fast rate at which illegal mining activities are destroying water bodies
An Evangelist, Dr Lawrence Tetteh who chaired the function called on all to cultivate the habit of reading to enhance their knowledge.
The first copy of the book was sold for GH¢5000.
