Executive Director of the Center for National Interest and Research, Ebenezer Kudiabor Ocansey, has urged Ghanaians to shift their focus from partisan to nationalist politics.
He believes this change is essential for fostering collective progress and unity in the country.
Mr. Ocansey emphasised that it is crucial for Ghanaians to choose leaders who prioritise nationalist interests for the inclusive socio-economic development of the country, just as the forebearers demonstrated.
The Conference coincided with the official launch of Centenary Agenda Initiatives blueprint, which will outline strategies and goals for the country’s development in the coming years.
The initiative being spearheaded by the Center for National Interest and Research seeks to foster collaboration between government, public and private sector, civil society and the public to create a unified effort towards achieving an inclusive and sustainable future.
Speaking at the conference, Executive Director of the Center for National Interest and Research, Ebenezer Kudiabor Occansey, said, “Understanding the basic truth that no particular political party that forms a temporal government at least four years and at most eight years cannot address our challenges, except we all get involved to pursue the national interests first to build a permanent state strategy which every citizen forms part. Let us stop using extreme partisan politics of divisiveness and hatred of temporal government structures to harm ourselves and our beautiful country,“ Mr. Ocansey asserted.
According to a Senior Technical Adviser at the National Development Planning Commission, Dr. Eric Akobeng, it is imperative that we provide the young ones with the necessary tools, resources, and skills.
“They need to contribute meaningfully to the national development agenda,” Dr. Akobeng emphasised. The Centenary Agenda Initiatives Vision Conference focused on the theme: “From Vision to Reality: Transforming Ghana for All, One Nation, One People.”
