The Ministry of Finance has assured Ghanaians of government’s commitment to successfully negotiate a programme with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the coming months in support of the country’s economic recovery.
This comes as a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, IMF, arrives in the country today July 5, to commence in-person meeting with government tomorrow, over government’s request for IMF bailout.
President Akufo-Addo has authorized the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta to start the formal engagements after a telephone conversation with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
