The Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo and the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Nene Sakite II has called on the government to institutionalize agriculture mechanism and technology in the 1D1F initiative.
Speaking at the 38th Farmers Day celebration at the Jubilee Park held at Koforidua, in the Eastern Region, Nene Sakite II noted that mechanization of the agriculture sector will help to sustain value addition in the sector.
“Agriculture Mechanization and Technology should be factored into the One District One Factory initiative to ensure efficient and effective mechanizing of the agriculture sector to help sustain the value addition in the sector” he said.
He added that all force should get involve in order to attain the aim of the government to make the country an agriculture sector.
