The 1998 year group of Madina MA 2 JHS in Accra has donated assorted sanitary and other items to the school.The donation formed part of the group’s resolve to extend a hand of help to the school which nurtured its members over two decades ago.
The items worth thousands of cedis comprised; dustbins, Veronica buckets with stands,Tissue paper,liquid soap and some stationery.A member of the group,Mr Patrick Amoah Sarfo noted that although it has taken some time to realize this objective,it is better late than never.He added that the school and it’s staff laid a solid foundation for the members,despite the challenges of the time,stressing that this has proved as a priceless resource in their endeavors.
Mr Sarfo expressed the 1998 year group’s willingness to offer more support to their Alma Mata.Receiving the items,the Head Teacher of Madina MA 2 JHS,Madam Rose Amo Sefordzi noted that the gesture was the first of its kind from past students.
She on behalf of the staff and pupils thanked the group for it’s thoughtfulness.She however appealed for more support from the group among others.On their wish list includes; painting,more furniture for staff and pupils,patching of leaky roof and patching of classroom floors.
