General Secretary of Ghana Private Road Transport Union, GPRTU, Godfred Abulbire says his office together with the leadership of the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council will see to the full compliance of the directive given to Commercial Transport Services to reduce fares.
He said in spite of the determining factors such as price hike on spare parts and lubricants, the Transport Unions still thinks the best option is to cushion customers by reducing fares by 10%.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council, Emmanuel Ohene Yeboah, says they will monitor drivers to ensure compliance in the reduction of fares.
Speaking on ‘Behind the News‘ Mr. Yeboah urged the public to be patient with the drivers as the new fares take effect.
