John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, have been sworn in as Ghana’s President and Vice President, respectively, following their victory in the December 2024 elections.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, in the presence of national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of Ghanaians.

In his inaugural address, President Mahama outlined his vision for the nation’s future, emphasising a commitment to “reset” the economy to benefit all citizens, not just a privileged few.

Mahama’s return to the presidency marks a new chapter in Ghana’s political journey, with his administration expected to focus on economic recovery, social development, and national unity.
