Video: President Akufo-Addo addresses UN 74th General Assembly

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, on Wednesday addressed  the 74th Session of the General Assembly of the UN in New York.

His address focused on the country’s gains so far in health, education, poverty and the protection of human rights.

This is President Akufo-Addo’s third address at the United Nations since assuming office.

President Akufo-Addo will also participate in, and deliver remarks at an event to be hosted by the U.S Corporate Council on Africa, celebrating the African Continental Free Trade Agreement and participate in a series of UN-related side meetings.

The Theme of the 74th session is, “Galvanizing multilateral efforts for poverty eradication, quality education, climate action and inclusion”.

The 74th Session of the General Assembly of the UN is being held from 24 – 30 September 2019.
