{"id":323164,"date":"2024-06-06T12:34:02","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T12:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gbcghanaonline.com\/?p=323164"},"modified":"2024-06-06T12:34:36","modified_gmt":"2024-06-06T12:34:36","slug":"ghana-japan-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gbcghanaonline.com\/news\/education\/ghana-japan-education\/2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Ghana, Japan strengthen relations through human resource development"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Hannah Dadzie<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ghana and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Japan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Japan<\/a> have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen their relations through human resource development for the mutual benefit of the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This commitment was made during a brief ceremony for the signing of Exchange of Notes for the \u201cProject for Human Resource Development Scholarship\u201d on June 4, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, signed on behalf of the Government of Ghana, while the Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, Mochizuki Hisanobu, signed for Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Ampratwum-Sarpong extended the appreciation of the Government of Ghana to the Government of Japan for their continued support in enhancing Ghana&#8217;s human resource capacity. He was hopeful that the knowledge-sharing opportunity would equip Ghanaian nationals who would benefit from the programme with the additional skills needed to contribute to the development of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, Mr. Mochizuki Hisanobu, noted in his remarks that the objective of the project, which started in 2012, is to offer opportunities to highly capable young Ghanaian Government officials to pursue graduate studies in various fields, which will help to actively accelerate the social and economic development of Ghana.
