{"id":348328,"date":"2025-02-05T12:04:48","date_gmt":"2025-02-05T12:04:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gbcghanaonline.com\/?p=348328"},"modified":"2025-02-05T12:08:41","modified_gmt":"2025-02-05T12:08:41","slug":"four-month-old-baby-dies-in-kissiman-junction-slum-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gbcghanaonline.com\/news\/four-month-old-baby-dies-in-kissiman-junction-slum-fire\/2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Four-month-old baby dies in Kissiman Junction slum fire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>A devastating fire outbreak at a slum near Kissiman Junction, close to Achimota-Samodak, has claimed the life of a four-month-old baby.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fire, which broke out in the early hours of today, February 5, 2025, destroyed over 20 wooden structures used as residences, along with their contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the swift response of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gnfs.gov.gh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ghana National Fire Service <\/a>(GNFS), the infant could not be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charred remains of the baby have been handed over to the police for further investigation, while efforts to determine the cause of the fire are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swift response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Head of Public Relations at the GNFS, Divisional Officer Two (DO II) Desmond E.
