Osei Boateng: Legendary Ghanaian Chorale Music composer is dead

Legendary Seventh-Day Adventist composer and singer, Akuamoah Osei Boateng has passed on.

The legendary Seventh-Day Adventist songwriter and singer passed away at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after a short illness. 

He was born into a Muslim family but converted to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in his youthful years. His parents were Madam Adwoa Oforiwaa and Opanin Akwasi Kwayie. He founded the Advent Missionaries Group. 

The saddened news of the death of Akuamoah Osei Boateng spread widely among members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, his followers and fans, and his immediate family.

The late Osei Boateng is known to have nurtured and trained several talents in the SDA Church and those outside the church. He effectively combined teaching and music in the early stages of his life. 

The late Akuamoah Osei Boateng is known for composing hit songs such as ‘Yesu Ka Woho’, Okwantufo’, and several others. He had a successful musical career spanning over 50 years.
