Nana Ama Eson-Mensah, a beloved lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, GJA, in Accra, was laid to rest on June 13, 2024, at South Suntreso, Kumasi, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The burial followed a service at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, South Suntreso.
Nana Ama, born on February 17, 1979, in Patase, was a shining star in the lives of those who knew her.
She excelled in her education, pursuing various certifications and degrees in communication, journalism, and sales.
Her passion for writing and teaching led her to lecture at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, where she inspired many with her dedication and cooperative approach.
Nana Ama’s love for fashion led her to establish a clothing line, Mehudzi, which reflected her artistic expression of culture and style.
She was a compassionate and principled individual who valued orderliness and timeliness. Her Catholic faith was central to her life, and she worshiped regularly at St. James Catholic Church in Accra and maintained her faith during her studies in Lithuania.
Tragically, Nana Ama fell ill and passed away on May 20, 2024, before completing her doctorate degree at Vytautas Magnus University. She is survived by her mother and two siblings.
Her memory will be cherished by the many lives she touched with her kindness, compassion, and love.
Her legacy will be celebrated, and her beauty, intellect, and spirit will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Nana Ama.
