A Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr. Patience Emefa Dzandza has reiterated the need for Churches to meet the needs of women who go through domestic violence at home.

According to her, women form a majority group in the Church hence the need to empower women spiritually and physically for them to embrace all storms in their lives. This is because whatever affects them automatically affects their children.

Dr. Emefa Dzandza said this at the opening of the 17th National Annual Women’s Bible Class Leaders Conference of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Ghana, at Ashaiman.

It was on the theme: “Revive us Again O Lord! Heal Us!!. The Role of the Women Bible Class”.

Dr. Dzandza noted that women in Church should take responsibilities in every dimension to be prayerful to make the Church move forward.

She called on the EP Church Ghana to unify various groups particularly the women groups in the Church as one body.

The National President of the Women Bible Class, Mrs. Stella Kudu, said the global pandemic affected national conferences depleting their finances and economic downturn of members, since, women are more in numbers than the men.

She urged the women to affirm the values of compassion and love towards one another.
