Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says his administration will introduce Social and Affordable Housing Schemes across all the districts of the country.
He says the Housing Scheme will provide accommodation for low-income earners in the country.
For Dr. Bawumia, the priority here is providing shelter for the people, creating jobs for carpenters, Masons, and other artisans in the local economy.
Sekyere Afram Plains is the 28th constituency that NPP candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been visiting since he started the constituency-level campaign.
Drobonso was his first port of call. Sekyere Afram Plains since 2012 has voted for the NDC.
The NDC won the Presidential election by 58 percent in 2020, and the NPP is seeking to change the trend and increase its votes in the Constituency and possibly win the seat for the first time since the constituency was created in 2012.
Engagement with the chiefs and opinion leaders at Konkomba was first for Dr. Bawumia.
They discussed the developmental challenges and how to solve them. Among the issues candidate Bawumia presented to them was how to support agriculture with innovative policies to make Ghana food sufficient.
The presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, told them that his nationwide social and affordable housing policy will create jobs in every district.
The gathering of the youth dubbed ”Community Connect” for the Sekyere Afram Plains took place at Drobonso. Scores of NPP supporters gathered at the town square for the programme.
Several leaders addressed the young, telling them why the NPP must be maintained at the Jubilee House. They were urged to intensify their efforts three weeks before the polls and help the party win the Sekyere Afram Plains seat.
George Akom, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sekyere Afram Plains, urged the electorate in the constituency to try the NPP this time around.
Dr. Bawumia appealed to the people to vote number 1 for development and innovative policies.
