MTN Ghana has presented a package to the Wala Traditional Council towards this year’s Dumba festival.
The package was made up of ten thousand Ghana Cedis, one thousand Ghana Cedis airtime, assorted drinks, and water.
Making the donation, the Upper West Regional Manager of MTN Ghana, Seth Owusu Nyamekye, stated that MTN has set up experience centres to provide enhanced customer services to the public as part of the 2024 Dumba festival.
He entreated the chiefs and elders as well as the people of the Wala Traditional Area to visit the centres/stands to be attended to.
Mr Nyamekye added that Network is doing free mobile money registration coupled with education on mono fraud to safeguard the interests of customers.
The Upper West Regional Manager of MTN reiterated the need for everyone to access the MTN’s innovative services, particularly the “Sunday Special”, “MTN Jara”, “Free After One”, and digital platforms like “Ayoba”, “MyMomoApp”, and “MyMTNApp”.
The Chairman of the 2024 Dumba Planning Committee, Saaka Ibrahim, with support from the Secretary of the 2024 Dumba Planning Committee, Naa Ibrahim Kadri, took delivery of the items.
Naa Kadri on behalf of the Overlord of the Wala Traditional Area, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo expressed profound gratitude to MTN Ghana for supporting this year’s Dumba Festival.
He indicated that MTN has reached out to the Wa Naa’s palace on many occasions and prayed that the Almighty Allah should continue lift up MTN in its endeavours.
Naa Kadri pledged what he termed “unalloyed support” to the essential services of MTN Ghana and added that “may the Almighty Allah replenish the source of their benevolence”.
