The Vice President, Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia has described the Banda District’s omission from beneficiary districts under the Agenda 111 as an error he will correct if he is elected President of Ghana.

According to Dr Bawumia, since the District does not have a hospital, it should have been selected to benefit from Agenda 111, under which the Government is building over 100 hospitals for several districts.
Dr. Bawumia made the point while addressing the Trinity Congregation of the Presbyterian Church at Kabronum in the Banda District of the Bono Region.

The Vice President’s last day of his four-day Bono Region tour saw him slated for engagements in Banda,Tain and Wenchi Constituencies.  The day started in Church, with the Kabronum Traditional Council, the Islamic Community and other Christian denominations all gathering at the local Presbyterian Church.
In a brief message the Chairman of the Local Council of Churches, Rev Moses Agyei, called for peaceful electioneering since God is going to choose the right leader for Ghana.

A Representative of the Islamic Community, Ustaz Moro, appealed for the addition of a SHS to the local Islamic School as well as the posting of more Arabic Teachers to the school.  The Chief of Kabronum, Nana Sah Chambe Seneapem, for his part grabbed the opportunity and made some requests after praising successive NPP Administrations for monumental projects like the Bui Generating Station, tarring of their roads and the establishment of Cashew and Sugar Cane Processing Factories in the Banda Districts.

In his address, Vice President Dr Bawumia said he wants Ghanaians to support him to succeed the outgoing president to continue the impressive work aimed at making life better for Ghanaians with Agriculture as his priority.

The Vice President also describes their omission from Agenda 111 as a mistake he will correct if elected.
The Vice President and his Team also stopped at rallies at Kabronum and Sabiye in Banda which were attended by hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. On the final day of the NPP Flagbearer’s tour of the Bono Region, he is scheduled to campaign in the Tain and Wenchi Constituencies as well.
