Flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has blamed President, Akufo-Addo, for the recent violence by some final-year Senior High School students after a WASSCE paper.
He said the result of violence seen in recent days is as a result of politicization of education.
Mr. Mahama said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Dagbon, Ya-Na Abukari Mahama.
Last week, there were a number of violence recorded in some senior high schools including Ndewura Jakpa SHS and Tweneboa Kodua SHS which led the Ghana Education Service (GES) to dismiss some fourteen students.
Mr. Mahama however condemned the actions of the students.
He said the next NDC government will restore “quality education”, a term which has eluded the current government.
