The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), has agreed to suspend its strike on condition that the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and the National Labour Commission (NLC), discontinue all legal processes against it.

This comes after an emergency meeting with the NLC and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations on Wednesday.

Speaking to GBC News, President of the University of Ghana Chapter of UTAG, Dr Samuel Nkubang, disclosed its resolve to begin negotiations with government on the matter from next week Monday.

He was, however, quick to add that if government fails to address their concerns by the end of this month, they will be forced to withdraw their services again.
