The Head of Neurology at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Albert Akpalu, has reiterated the need for epilepsy patients to seek medical care at the hospital.
He said managing the disease at home can be detrimental to the health of the patient, hence the need for proper cure and treatment at the hospital.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Dr. Akpalu said medication provided for epilepsy patients can be expensive, depending on the seizure one has.
Dr. Akpalu called on the public to stop stigmatising patients with epilepsy and rather urge them to seek proper health care.
