Ho Teaching Hospital to expand Accident and Emergency Units

The Ho Teaching Hospital will in 2023ii start the expansion of its Accident and Emergency Unit to improve service delivery.

It will also initiate processes to complete its Family and Health Center within the shortest possible time as well as provide improved facilities in all the Units where they are most needed to augment the existing ones.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital, Dr. John Tampuori disclosed this at the festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and Thanksgiving Service of the Ho Teaching Hospital in Ho.

He said Management will recruit additional Cadres to help reduce the workload on the staff.

“Despite challenges,  the hospital has resolved to provide quality health care service to clients and relevant stakeholders”.

Sharing some of the Hospital’s success stories in the past year at the event, Dr Tampuori said the Hospital has been able to expand its services which include the introduction of Endoscopy, CT scans, and effective physiotherapy services among others.

Dr. Tampuori commended the staff of the hospital for their efforts which led to the hospital being recognised for the provision of the most satisfying and commendable health care including medical education and research.

Citations were presented to some deserving staff for their commitment towards the success healthcare delivery at the hospital.
