Ghana Premier club, Legon Cities, have been attacked by armed robbers on the Bibiani-Kumasi highway 

The royals found themselves at the wrong side of the road after their defeat in an ‘away’ match against Samartex. 

They were trashed 3:0 which was even heartbreaking and to come across an unfortunate situation made it more damaging for the boys.

The robbers shot three bullets at the front bulletproof glass of their team bus as the driver maneuvered his way through a terrible scene of gunshots according to a statement from the club. 

After that nerve moment, no individual suffered any injuries. The only damage caused was on the team’s bus. The entire team is safe and sound as at now in Obuasi.

Legon cities defender Nicholas Opoku Mensah revealed that no casualties have been recorded however the armed robbers took everything from them.

This incident brings to memory, a similar situation on Ashanti Gold SC who faced the same obstacle last year. Ashanti Gold were attacked by armed robbers on their way back from Accra at Assin Endwa. 

This armed robbery attacks on Ghana Premier League clubs is a big worry and needs to looked into as soon possible.
