Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, who was defeated in the NPP’s recent parliamentary primaries, has refuted reports suggesting that she is considering running as an Independent Candidate in the December elections.
According to her, despite the setback and outcome of last Saturday’s parliamentary primaries in Dome-Kwabenya, she remains steadfast in her commitment to the shared values of the NPP and the quest of the party to break the 8.
In a statement, Adwoa Safo expressed her appreciation to the people of Dome-Kwabenya Constituency for the opportunity to represent their interests and aspirations in Parliament in the last 12 years.
She described it as an honour and privilege which she does not take lightly.
Adwoa Safo lost her parliamentary primaries with 328 against Mike Oquaye, who secured a significant 1,194 votes.
