The level of indiscipline and corruption is a result of the disconnection between religion and righteousness in the country and this is a great worry to me, Shiekh Aremeyaw Shaibu, the Spokesperson for the National Chief Imam has said.

He said that although statistics have shown Ghana to be a Christian and Muslim-dominated country, the values are not reflecting and influencing the attitudes, deeds, and behaviors of the people, which is a great worry to him.

He questioned if there was really a need for a Constitutional review because he thinks that indiscipline has everything to do with the attitude of the people, which needs to be changed.

”We are at the stage where young people are gradually lured and introduced to corruption,” Shiekh Shaibu disclosed this on GTV’s Breakfast Show on Thursday, February 2.

“From the President to the laborer, every Sunday they are either in the Church or in the mosque. They have parents who are Muslims and Christians. We have many of our Mission Schools, so where is the disconnect? That is my worry,” he posited.
