Twelve Political Parties have taken part in a ballot organised by the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), to depict the order they will appear on the Corporation’s programmes towards the December 7 elections.
It forms part of GBC’s commitment to provide free and equal airtime to all Political Parties to communicate their campaign messages to Ghanaians.
The Acting Director of Television and a member of the GBC Political Broadcast Committee explained that the platform, which has been created for all political parties to appear on the State Television, is in line with the constitution to ensure fair coverage and equal opportunity to all political parties on the Electoral Commission’s ballot sheet.
Chairperson of GBC’s Political Broadcast Complaint and Monitoring Committee, Dr. Sarah Dsane asked for cooperation of the political parties to ensure the programme’s success.
