A Governance analyst, Fred Oduro says it will be politically suicidal for government to fail to resource the office of the Special Prosecutor.
This is because it will be a breach of its campaign promise to stamp out corruption.
The Special Prosecutor has said since assuming office in February this year (2018), he is unable to effectively deliver on his mandate because his office is under-resourced and is not getting the needed support from government appointees.
Mr Amidu also talked about the lack of a Legislative Instrument which will give the Special Prosecutor teeth to secure convictions. According to government, the L.I has reached Parliament.
