Pressure Group, “Fixing the Country Movement’’, is appealing to the Special Prosecutor, to revisit the investigation into the Airbus Corruption Scandal. At a news conference in Accra, Convener of the Movement, Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah, said the Airbus Scandal has tainted Ghana’s international image. He, therefore, called for the speedy prosecution of the people behind the Airbus corruption scandal.

‘’The Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has for himself a vocation of presenting imaginary facts and a wild guess that Ghanaians will entrust power in the hands of Mahama come 2024 as per that belief. Former President Mahama has no other motive than come back to create loot and share. The speedy trial and imprisonment of the henchmen of frustrated John Dramani Mahama will end this irony. Which is why ”Fixing the Country Movement” is in the process of petitioning the Special Prosecutor to revisit the Airbus Corruption Scandal’’, Mr. Owusu Bempah stated’’.

The General Secretary of the Movement, Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye, who is also the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, emphasized that no one is above the law and that the government has been able to prosecute some officials to save the country from corruption and the mishandling of public funds.

‘’Currently, the Nana Addo government has prosecuted 5 people, serving in the Nsawam prison. 21 high profile cases are still pending in court and mostly by the end of the year most of them will be completed and we will know whether they will be sentenced or discharged. No one is above the law’’, according to the General Secretary of the ‘’Fixing the Country Movement,’’ Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye.
