President Akufo-Addo sworn into office two new Ambassadors

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn into office two new Ambassadors at a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra.

They are  Mrs. Jennifer Lartey who is heading to Norway and Mrs. Harriet Sena Siaw Boateng Ambassador to Belgium and Ghana’s permanent representative at the European Union, (EU).

President Akufo Addo charged them to guard the image of Ghana and help build a society free from corruption.

The two Ambassadors have years of invaluable experience as at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

President Akufo-Addo reminded the two envoys of the sacred responsibility of preserving and promoting the image of a country whose reputation among the comity of nations is high.

He advised them to develop cordial working relations with the professional Foreign Service officers they will find at their duty posts, and also with members of the Ghanaian communities in their respective countries.

He reminded them of the vision of government which is to build a Ghana Beyond Aid, a Ghana free from corruption and which self reliant. He was hopeful the two can help turn the fortunes of the country.

Ghana Ambassador to Belgium and  permanent  representative at the EU, Mrs. Harriet Sena- Siaw Boateng thanked the President for the confidence repose in them.

She promised to contribute her quota towards the realization of the vision of the government.
