A new trophy for the 2024/2025 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season was revealed at a special event in Accra. The trophy, designed in Ghana, features a “W” shape that stands for Women’s Football. It is decorated with sparkling gold, symbolising the strength, hope, and growth of women’s football in the country.
The event included a memorable moment when former players, such as Fafali Dumehasi and Romanatu Tahiru, along with players from the Immigration, Prisons, Army, and Police teams, proudly carried the trophy to the main stage, impressing everyone present.
The unveiling of the trophy signals the start of a new chapter for the league, sparking excitement about which team will be the first to win it. The new season will begin on the weekend of October 18th to 21st, with matches taking place across the Northern and Southern Zones.
